Language Barrier?
Samantha and I were sitting in the living room together talking about....I don't even know really. When some how, we got onto the subject of languages. She asked what language they speak in Thailand, where daddy is from, and I said Thai. "Oh", she says. So, we then go on to discuss the other languages in the world. "What do they speak in England?", I ask her. "English!", she states proudly. "OK, what about in Canada?" "English!", she says again. "What do they speak in China?", I ask her. "Chinish?", she asks. "No",....(me laughing). What about in Japan? I ask again. "Japanish?", she answers. Now it's a game, I just want to see what she'll say. "Norway?", I ask. "Norwaygin".....close. She even took some Norwegian in 1st grade when we were in Grand Forks!!! "Oh yeah!!", she says after I tell her the correct way to say it. So, this went on and on until I think I came up with make believe countries. It was fun. You should try it!!! See what your children come up with. I love the things kids come up with. That's my tid bit for the day. Later.

Long Distance Dance Class
So.....I've been trying and trying to find activities for the girls since arriving here in Virginia. Easy, right? So many more options, yes, with a MUCH heftier price!!! AAGGHH!!!!! Well, I found a dance studio for Camryn....16 miles away. Not too bad right? WRONG!!! After leaving the house at 4:15, class starts at 4:45, I didn't arrive until 5:00. Gotta love traffic. So....I'm on the lookout....AGAIN!! We are doing great, and the girls are adjusting fine. School is getting better for Sam and Cam loves her preschool. Can you believe Cam will be in Kindergarten next year? Thought I was going to have an extra year, but not here.
(Don't worry Dawn, I plan on posting some pic's soon.....I'm just to busy in TRAFFIC right now!! ;0) Later.
Shana.

Good Morning From D.C
Hello everyone....First I'd like to thank Dawn for getting me started on my blog. It's about time, right? She designed my page....gorgeous huh? I think there's a new job for you out there Dawn...Blog designs. Think about it. Anyway, I think this blogging thing is going to be fun. I was doing a little of it on my myspace account....I kind of let that drop. I hope to keep this one going.
As most of you know already, we have recently moved to the D.C. area, and are living in Northern Virginia so that Steve can commute to the Pentagon. Things are coming along just fine. We are still trying to adjust to the area....North Dakota...Washington, D.C. area....big changes. All in all, I think our family has adapted. The house is nice, the dog is happy, and the kids are making friends at school and preschool. Steve's commute isn't nearly as bad as we thought it would be...30 minutes on most days...that's a trip from GFAFB to town!!! Well....minus the traffic. ;0)
This morning I am headed off to MOPS. I have found a GREAT group and am really excited about the people I am meeting there. In fact, MOPS is held at a Baptist church that I am thinking of trying this Sunday. It's a gorgeous church and it seems to be the place to go. Pray that our family makes a connection with this church and community. I really would like to find a home in this church. We've tried a couple of times at this Lutheran church...I didn't feel it. Know what I mean?
Well, there will be more later. For now, I need to go get my kids ready for school. Always a fun time.
